Glass installation in groundbreaking new public building
Installed in the soaring atrium of Cincinnati Public Radio’s new headquarters, this custom glass installation transforms the entry experience into a moment of curiosity, movement, and joy. Hundreds of brightly colored, sculptural glass elements float overhead, an abstract expression of connection, communication, and shared voices.
The artwork is part of the Scripps Family Center for Public Media, a groundbreaking $32 million, 35,000-square-foot facility and the nation’s first mass timber broadcast building. Opened in early 2025, the space brings together studios, performance areas, and public gathering spaces, making art, media, and community visible at the heart of the building.
A collaborative process
Our team worked closely with Cincinnati Public Radio to develop a design aligned with their brand and mission. The glass forms are inspired by the color and energy of CPR’s logo, with each piece waterjet-cut and mounted on custom stainless steel fixtures that extend the full height of the front entrance windows. In addition, Brazee designed, fabricated, and installed the colorful glass signage behind the new reception desk.
